Project Bijou

The Bijou Theatre in Bridgeport, CT is a cool, eclectic movie and live theater venue with an incredible history. As part of a graduate school project, myself, Tom Horak, Clarence Freycinet and Josh John teamed up to give this theater a solid marketing plan. The owners, Attorneys Kathy Reynolds and Christine Brown, are two passionate entrepreneurs that I've had the pleasure to get to know, but they needed a little direction when it came to marketing their theater. I'm pleased to say we delivered.
One issue the Bijou needed to overcome was how to present their show offerings while maintaining a clear and digestible identity to their customers. Our solution, as part of the product strategy was to split their show offerings into two catagories: "Bijou by Day" and Bijou at Night."


This concept would be delivered in the form of a personalized website. The "Bijou by Day" offerings would promote the family-friendly and community driven shows, while "Bijou at Night" would promote only nightlife oriented shows. All content would be housed on both sites, but the homepages would target different customer bases.
